Each year since 2015, Year 10 Students from Nunawading Christian College, a Christian school in Melbourne, Victoria, have travelled to serve the local communities in Cambodia. Students visit several local NGOs along the way and spend time at Light of Hope Children's Village to teach conversational English to younger children.
As of 2019, the Nunawading Christian College community has raised over $70,000 to support the work of Light of Hope in Cambodia. Donations raised have helped to develop school facilities, improve living conditions and provide for the basic needs of vulnerable children in Light of Hope’s care.
2025 will be the first year since 2019 that Nunawading Christian College has been able to take a group of students to serve with the local communities in Cambodia. Donations raised by the students will go directly towards renovations for toilet blocks and floor upgrades in dining areas.
